Data Deletion Instructions

Data deletion URL (Google Play — Data deletion): https://clipblend.com/delete-data.html — public page; no login or personal data required. Enter this exact URL in Play Console (Data safety → Data deletion).

Published legal documents (English version, as submitted to the store): Privacy Policy · Terms of Service · Data deletion (same host).

Sign-in methods: The App supports Firebase Authentication via email and password or Continue with Google (Google OAuth for sign-in and registration). Deleting the account in the App removes the Firebase user record regardless of the registration method used.

This page describes how users can request deletion of data associated with the App.

We do not store personal data on our own server infrastructure — data is held only in Google services (Firebase, Google Analytics, AdMob, and Firebase Crashlytics when enabled).

The App allows users to delete their data stored by the Controller in Firebase services (Authentication and Firestore) directly in the App (Account → "Delete account") — after signing in.

If you change or lose your device, reinstall the App, sign in with the same account, and use "Delete account". The Controller does not delete Firebase accounts or linked Firestore data by email alone.

The Controller does not keep additional copies of user data outside Google's services used by the App (including Firebase, Google Analytics, AdMob, and Firebase Crashlytics when enabled); all data deletion operations are performed directly in those services.

Deletion of the Firebase Authentication user and linked Firestore documents is triggered from the App: after confirming "Delete account", a Cloud Functions job removes linked documents for your UID (users, userFetchLimits).

Quick deletion of all data

We respect your right to erasure of personal data under Art. 17 GDPR. ClipBlend is created by Sławomir Toporek, an independent developer of the ClipBlend Android application. Below we describe how you can delete your data.

Third-party providers: Some data may be retained by third-party providers according to their own policies (e.g. Google), even after using the options below.

YouTube Charts: a shared, aggregated metadata cache in Firestore (the same for all users) — this is not personal data about you and does not require individual deletion linked to an account.

Google Analytics for Firebase (GA4)

Usage and product events are sent to Google Analytics for Firebase (GA4) when using the App in production. The Developer does not maintain a separate analytics database. Data is processed by Google; retention and deletion are governed by Google's Privacy Policy and Google Analytics / Firebase data settings. You can manage certain account activity settings at Google Account.

Analytics data is not used by the Controller to directly identify you.

Data are processed in pseudonymised form.

Local storage (AsyncStorage)

YouTube cache and settings are in AsyncStorage on the device only; not used by the Controller to identify you. It is not additionally encrypted at the application level. Data are protected by the operating system's security mechanisms (app sandbox). Remove it by uninstalling the App or using "Clear data" in Android settings.

Option 1: Log out from the App

1 Open the ClipBlend App.

2 Go to the Account section (account icon, top right).

3 "Log out of YouTube" — removes Google/YouTube tokens from the App and ends the YouTube session. Does not automatically delete the video-storage record from device storage.

4 "Log out of the App" — ends the Firebase session, removes Google/YouTube tokens and clears UI-visible state. Does not guarantee deletion of the video-storage file from AsyncStorage.

Note: To definitely delete the local data copy (including video-storage), use Option 3 (uninstall) or the system Clear data function for the App in Android settings.

Option 2: Revoke OAuth access (YouTube)

1 Go to myaccount.google.com/permissions.

2 Find "ClipBlend" in the list.

3 Click "Remove access" to revoke the App's permissions to your Google and YouTube account.

Option 3: Uninstall the App

Uninstalling the App from your Android device removes all locally stored data (AsyncStorage), including:

Option 4: Delete account in the App

1 Open the ClipBlend App.

2 Go to the Account section.

3 Select "Delete account".

4 Confirm the action. The Firebase Authentication user is deleted, and linked Firestore documents are then removed by the backend automation.

Account deletion covers:

Note: Account deletion is irreversible. Data cannot be recovered after deletion.

Deletion of account data begins as soon as you confirm the action: the Authentication user is removed and Cloud Functions clean linked Firestore rows, subject to propagation and backup delays on Google's systems.

Option 5: Contact (other requests)

For questions about this page, other GDPR rights (access, rectification, etc.) or Crashlytics matters per the Privacy Policy — not for deleting Firebase accounts or Firestore profiles (use Option 4 in the App for that):

Email: clipblendapp@gmail.com

For requests that can be handled by email, the Controller will respond within 30 days where Art. 12(3) GDPR applies.

What data is deleted by each option?

Data processed by third-party services (Google AdMob, Google Analytics for Firebase (GA4), and Firebase Crashlytics when enabled) is subject to those providers' data retention policies. For more information, see Google's Privacy Policy.
